Question 1

Is this bill generator really free?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There is no account, no watermark, no limit on line items, and no paid tier.

Question 2

Is this the same as the invoice generator?

Accepted Answer

Structurally yes, one company's invoice is another's vendor bill. This version is labelled and worded for accounts payable paperwork, and it can cite the purchase order it corresponds to.

Question 3

Does my customer data get uploaded anywhere?

Accepted Answer

No. The bill is built entirely in your browser and the draft is saved in your browser's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server.

Question 4

How is the due date worked out?

Accepted Answer

Pick payment terms (due on receipt, Net 15, 30, 45 or 60) and the due date is counted forward from the bill date. Type a due date yourself and the terms switch to Custom so the two never contradict each other.

Question 5

Can I bill in a currency other than dollars?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Thirteen currencies are available and every amount is formatted for the one you choose.

Question 6

Will my draft still be here tomorrow?

Accepted Answer

Yes, as long as you use the same browser and do not clear your site data. To move a bill elsewhere or keep a backup, download it as JSON and paste it back in later.
